Dr. Steven Still Joins Ag Ed Team

Illinois Ag Ed Colleagues,

It is with great pleasure that we announce the expansion of the Ag Ed Program at SIU.  The teaching licensure program in Ag Education will now be a team of three faculty members:  Dr. Steven Still, Dr. Howard Heavner, and Dr. Seburn Pense.

Dr. Still has accepted the position of Assistant Professor for Agricultural Education in the Department of Plant, Soil and Agricultural Systems at Southern Illinois University.  Dr. Still is a graduate of the University of Illinois (PhD and MS), Rio Grande University (MEd) and The Ohio State University (BS).  Dr. Still has been on faculty at Murray State University since 2015.

Dr. Still taught high school agriculture for eight years in Grove City, Ohio.  During his high school tenure, he resurrected the school's FFA chapter and took several CDE teams to compete at the state level.  Dr. Still's special interests include horticulture, apiculture, crops, soils, and community gardens, to name a few.

Dr. Still and his family will be joining us by Fall, 2019.  Please help the SIU faculty in welcoming Dr. Still!
