Position Agriculture and Cooperative Education Teacher/ FFA Advisor

Description:  Orion High School, located in Henry County in Section 3, is seeking a highly-qualified agriculture and cooperative education instructor and FFA advisor for the 2019-2020 school year. The Orion agriculture program serves around 100 students per year and has 100% FFA membership. 

The agriculture department includes a classroom, an office, Makerspace, Chromebook cart, large agriculture shop, greenhouse, and land laboratory. Courses offered this upcoming year include: Introduction to Agriculture, Environmental Science, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Mechanics, Horticulture, and Cooperative Education. Courses rotating in every other year include BSAA- Plant and Animal Science, Agricultural Construction, and Agribusiness Management.  An Agricultural Leadership and Communication class is offered as an independent study.

Salary is as per negotiated salary schedule for the 2019-2020 school year.  Stipends are included for duties outside of contract time.


Start date is August 2019. Application deadline is July 15, 2019 or until filled.
