Position   Agriculture Teacher
Description   Edwardsville is located in section 22 of Madison County. This first year of restarting the program has 35 students in two Introduction to Agriculture Industry courses. This fulltime position for 05-06 will include these potential courses: Introduction to the Agricultural Industry, Horticultural Production and Managment, and Agricultural Mechanics. Courses are dependent upon enrollment this spring and new teacher credentials. A 30x40 greenhouse is ready to be filled with plants. The administration and community are ready for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to successfully start this program in the metro east. Only minutes from downtown St. Louis. The high school has 2275 students in grades 9-12. Application deadline is March 15, 2005, or until a qualified candidate is found. The school district is also looking for an industrial teacher or an ag. teacher with mechanical skills. An application form can be downloaded from their website -

Position   Agriculture Teacher/FFA Advisor
Description   Waltonville is located in Section 21 west of Mt. Vernon in Jefferson County. The high school has 115 students with 45 students taking ag. courses. Course offerings include: Introduction to the Ag. Industry, Ag. Mechanics, BSAA, Agribusiness Management, and Agribusiness Operations. The administration and community are supportive of the program. Salary: BS-0 years = $26,500, MS-0 years = $28,500 with a 9 ½ month contract and a $1500 FFA stipend. TRS is paid on top of the salary, and health insurance is partially paid at $213/month.
