"P"ATE ON THE TRICO HIGH SCHOOL AGRIC"LT"RE PROGRAM...Positive presentations were made on Monday evening at the Board of Education Hearing on proposed cuts to justify the agricultural education program. Good remarks were made by board of education members and administrators to keep the program for the 00-01 school year. The Trico Board will be meeting next Wednesday to officially state their proposal to save dollars.

CLAY CITY HIGH SCHOOL "P"ATE…The Agriculture Advisory Committee met on November 28th to discuss the need and long range planning for a new agriculture program for the 00-01 school year. All in attendance were unanimously in favor of having a new beginning for the agricultural education program. Thank you to "oug Robb, "oug Slagley, Jamie Van"yke, and Mark Steber for attending and giving positive information. Thank you to John Abell, Superintendent, for organizing the meeting to restart this program. The Clay City Board of Education will be meeting on "ecember 20th to discuss the reinstatement of this program.

MAN"Y BRAN"ENB"RG AN" MARIA RESTREPO WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE TEACHING candidates from SI"C this spring for ag ed teaching vacancies. Both are completing their M.S. degrees. Check out the website for a complete list of available teaching candidates.

ARE YO" MAKING CHANGES TO YO"R CO"RSE OFFERINGS FOR THE 00-01 SCHOOL YEAR? IF so and need assistance, please let me know. Now is the time to be making those changes.

If the Agribusiness Management curriculum C" is ready for distribution, a computer inservice will be planned in conjunction with your meeting as planned at the fall meetings. Keep checking your email in the coming weeks and after the holiday break for more information. I will be working with each of the section chairpersons in making decisions on locations and start times.
