BSAA/PSAA LEARNING STANDARDS…If you are currently teaching BSAA and PSAA courses, we have a helpful tool for you. The new Illinois Learning Standards have been cross referenced with each of the labs of the four BSAA and PSAA notebooks. Each lab by course will be listed with the numbers and letters of the Illinois Learning Standards that are met by teaching a specific lab. If you need a hard or electronic copy, contact your FCAE field advisor.

MFE CONFERENCE SOUTH will be held on Friday and Saturday, February 2 and 3, 2001, at the Holiday Inn in Alton. The advisor's professional development schedule includes:

Friday afternoon - National FFA staff and the Council on SAE's, Round table of instructors providing information and ideas on student behavior, motivation, classroom management, Illinois Learning Standards, and accountability.

Friday evening - New FFA application changes and concerns, incentive funding changes and concerns, Stihl safety workshop, and agriculture teacher quiz bowl.

Saturday morning - Valentines Day floral arrangement workshop, ag. course outline sharing, public relations ideas, and FFA recruitment booklets.

Registration materials can be found in your December mailing from the Illinois FFA Center. Registration deadline is January 12, 2001.

SOUTHERN ILLINOIS FARM BUREAU ACQUAINTANCE PROGRAM will be held at SIUC on Tuesday, January 23rd from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. For more information, contact your Farm Bureau Manager.
