Vacancy for Agriculture Teacher...Patoka is located in section 21 of Marion County south of Vandalia on Highway 51.  Thirty-seven students are taking agriculture courses out of 85 students in the high school.  Course offerings include:  Introduction to the Agricultural Industry, Ag. Science, Ag. Mechanics, Ag. Construction, and Natural Resources Conservation and Management.  Salary, TRS, and health insurance will be determined by the salary schedule.  An FFA stipend is available.  Facilities for the program include:  7-acre land lab, 30x40 greenhouse, organized ag. mechanics lab with new welding area, Gleaner combine, and 657 Farmall tractor.  The high school is located in the same building as the K-8 students which is a great environment for agricultural awareness.  Application deadline is April 15th or until a qualified candidate is found.  For more information, contact Chad Bailey, current teacher, Travis Roundcount, Superintendent, principal below or website –

Vacancy for an Agricultural Literacy Coordinator
Seeking a part-time(20 hours per week – 46 weeks) enthusiastic and self-motivated individual. Marion county is located south of Effingham.  Duties include classroom presentations, teacher workshops, and other Ag literacy efforts in Marion County.  Candidates should have knowledge of agriculture, conservation, public speaking abilities, and computer skills.   Questions, call – (618) 548-2100.  Deadline date is April 22nd or until a qualified candidate is found.
