Future Fisherman Foundation Grants

Grant Opportunity for the Agriculture Department to partner with Physical Education Teachers as an outdoor recreation activity...

The Future Fisherman Foundation is again offering P.E grants for fishing and boating for up to $5,000. Teachers can get fishing equipment, canoes, kayaks, etc. for their school along with funds to pay for transportation to a nearby lake.

Award winning teachers will have to attend a training session in Traverse City, MI from July 15-July 19 that will be paid for with the grant. 

Conceived in 2003, the Physh Ed Grants Initiative has warded over $700,000 to 152 schools in 39 states. Physical education teachers at the K-12 level in public, private and charter schools are eligible and encouraged to apply for grant funding. The deadline for all grant applications is Friday March 2, 2007.
