Description     Galatia is located in Saline County of section 25 twenty-three miles southeast of Benton. Approximatley 40 students out of 110 students in the high school are enrolled in ag. courses. Courses offered are: Agricultural Mechanics, Introduction to the Agricultural Industry, BSAA, Horticultural Science, Agribusiness Management, and Pre-Veterinary Technology. An FFA stipend is available. An FFA Alumni Chapter was recently chartered supporting the program. For more information, view the school's website at -

-The St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association(RCGA) recently recognized the food and fiber industry in an 80 plus page commerce publication.  To view the articles in this magazaine, click on -  If you would like a printed copy, please email me.  The articles in this magazine are Illinois and Missouri based.  The St. Louis AgriBusiness Club has assisted in cultivating this postive partnership within the St. Louis region.

-Annual Reports of Your Agriculture Program are due to your FCAE program advisor prior to finalizing your new agriculture grant application which is due on June 30, 2007.  You must have an annual report sent in during the time period of July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007, to receive credit for this quality indicator.  MORE IMPORTANTLY, an annual report adds writtens value and credibility to your program.  Keeping records and idenifying your extra hours, awards, SAEs, etc. is very important.  For a sample annual report, click on - in the teachers toolbox of the website.
