This is a contracted course with the Ag. Ed. Line Item and is free to participants.  Yes, it is FREE!  This three hour course will consist of five 8-hour days.   Each 8 hour class will cover a different skill area within agricultural mechanics.  Useful teaching aids for successful subject delivery will be demonstrated and developed in each session.  The exact subject areas taught will be determined by a survey of enrolled teachers.  Topics taught in this summer’s class included: welding, small gas engines, electrical wiring practices, carpentry, and building construction skills.  The evaluations of the course have been excellent, it has been a great asset to the teachers who have taken it.   Attached is the course outline.

CONTRACT~If the Grantee does not successfully complete the course and fails to pay FCAE the Student Fee within fourteen (14) days of dropping the course or the course ending date, whichever comes first, they will be ineligible to participate in any future courses provided through FCAE until the fee is paid. The school will also be ineligible for any quality indicators in the Incentive Funding Grant Application that give credit for the teacher completing additional college coursework in agricultural education.
