District 5 FFA AgriScience Fair - March 13th

WHAT:         District V FFA Agriscience Fair
WHEN:        Thursday, March 13, 2008
                   9 a.m. -                           Students/Projects can start arriving
                   10 a.m.-                          ALL projects must be set-up and displayed
                   10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.           Project Judging
                   12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.        Student presentations of their projects
                   1:40 p.m.                         Award Presentations
WHERE:      Gymnasium, Rend Lake College
PRIZES:       Approximately $500 will be awarded in cash prizes. Cash prizes for the top three projects, and A and B rated projects. All students will receive a framed certificate. Judging will be done by topic area and given an A, B, or C rating. 
REQUIREMENTS:  This district event will follow state and national rules for project size, contents, etc.  The AgriScience Handbook is attached.  It is also located on your most recent(06-07) Illinois FFA Resource CD.
PREREGISTRATION: Students should mail or fax the attached registration form by Monday, March 3, 2008. Additions and deletions can be made after this date, but we need preliminary numbers for judges, cash prizes, and certificates. Please do not send all of your registration forms at the last minute.
REGISTRATION: A $2 fee will be charged per student and teacher to                                                        cover the cost of the meal. Checks should be made payable                                         to Dean Dittmar.
