THE "ISTRICT 5 FFA AGRISCIENCE FAIR will be held on Monday, March 11th at Rend Lake College. Project registration forms are due by Friday, March 1st. I need these forms to determine the number of judges and cash prizes. If you have students that are planning to attend, please mail or fax these forms this week. AG E" LINE ITEM " As you have seen through prior email messages, Governor Ryan has proposed moving the ag. ed. line item dollars, CTE dollars, and several other line items to general state aid per student. Your support and assistance is needed to keep the agricultural education line item in place. PLEASE MAKE IT A PRIORITY this week to contact your senator and representative. We need your assistance to let these legislators know about the importance of this line item. If you need assistance, facts, figures, etc., let me know.

CLEARINGHOUSE FOR USE" AG/HORT TEXTBOOKS/RESOURCES/ EQUIPMENT " Many of you responded to my message in January requesting textbooks for a school in need… Since then, I have been able to assist another school. At the last FCAE staff meeting, we discussed a clearinghouse of used agriculture textbooks and resources. It was decided that I would send out a listserv message explaining this concept. As you have textbooks and other resources and/or equipment that you no longer use, but may be suitable for another school, please email me what you have including number, name of item, condition, and edition if it is textbooks. As of now I will be just keeping track of these items in a file folder, but we may plan to list these resources at our website at a later date.
