"ULLTIME IN"USTRIAL (possibly ag. mechanics) TEACHER VACANCY at the Sparta High School, section 22, district 5. The Sparta High School is looking for a vocational teacher with industrial certification or provisional certification for the 02-03 school year, starting August 29, 2002. The Sparta High School currently does not have an agricultural education program, but I spoke with the principal on Tuesday. Mr. Jones is open to all possibilities depending upon applicants that apply. Courses scheduled for the fall: Introduction to "rafting, Energy Technology, Basic Construction, Introduction to Manufacturing, and Transportation I. Salary - BS with 0 years experience - $26,500 plus benefits of TRS and health insurance. Application deadline is July 15, 2002. OKAWVILLE AGRICULTURE SUPPORTERS will be sponsoring a 4 person golf scramble on Sunday, August 4, 2002, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Spring Valley Golf Club in Okawville. Entry fee is $70/person and $280/team which includes 18 holes of golf and cart, hole contests, dinner following, and 3 places in 3 flights. Register by July 25th by calling Bill Reichmann at 618-243-6150. All proceeds will be used to promote agricultural awareness and ag. education in Okawville schools.
