Farm Safety 4 Just Kids

Thursday, January 07, 2010

A message from Anthony Graham, former Section 21 FFA President & SIUC student majoring in Ag Education

Hello!  My name is Anthony Graham.  I’m currently serving as the Illinois Outreach Coordinator for Farm Safety 4 Just Kids, a non-profit organization based out of Urbandale, Iowa.

As part of my tenure with FS4JK I must travel around the state to promote rural and agricultural safety. I have resources to present on many types of safety: grain, chemical, animal, ATV, seatbelt, sun, water, ect. The programs as well as my travel expenses are paid by ADM and Farm Safety 4 just Kids; therefore the cost to you is nothing.  I am also able to present to older age groups such as high school students or adults and help in generating ideas for safety days and starting other events or discuss and evaluate programs already in place.  Last year I worked with several FFA Chapters in planning/carrying out their respective Safety Days and other events. We also have curriculum resources for teachers/presenters available for purchase.

I have strong roots in agriculture, and this is my second year serving as an intern with Farm Safety 4 Just Kids. I myself am from a non-traditional ag background and have the ability to model my presentations for both rural and urban students ages K-adult. I have the ability and resources to present to audiences anywhere from one to a few thousand.

If you would like to find out more about FS4JK, go to our website at I’m looking to do programs or presentations for the 2010 year. If you are interested please email me ASAP at [email protected] (best method) or give me a call at (618)-204-9646.

Thanks, Anthony Graham
