-Farmyard Follies Results at the DuQuoin State Fair
-Land-Use CDE Practice Card Problems/Keys
-District Ag. Teacher Meeting on Wednesday
-Who has turned it what? What is due when?

19 FFA Chapters competed in aggie activities during the DuQuoin State Fair last week. Activities included: back seat driving, bale toss, tug of war, bale stacking, shovel race, water balloon toss, and calf roping. The top five teams were: 1st-Wayne City, 2nd-Trico at Campbell Hill, 3rd-Hamilton County, 4th-Marissa, and 5th-Pinckneyville. Teams also participating were: Olney, "enton, West Frankfort, Hardin County, Webber Township, DuQuoin, Harrisburg, Mt. Vernon, Nashville, Eldorado, Egyptian, Waltonville, Vienna, and Carmi.

To assist in preparing for the FFA Land-Use CDE, I have 5 activity sheets and keys that are based on information that students would collect from 5 different pit sites. Students would then use this information to complete sample 116 point land use scorecards. If you are interested in receiving these sample scorecard problems, let me know and I will send them to you.

55 teachers attended the District 5 Agriculture Teachers Meeting and inservice for the online FFA roster. $3000 was raised for the Capital Campaign fund through a raffle of prizes donated by southern Illinois agribusinesses and organizations. Thank you for taking time from your hectic schedules to attend this important activity.
