FFA Alumni Rosters Due March 1st for Ag Grant Funding

Thursday, February 18, 2010

March 1st is the deadline to have your FFA Alumni Roster and dues check to the Illinois FFA Center in order to receive 3x or nearly $100 on next year's ag grant application.

More importantly, your FFA Alumni can help support your program if cutbacks occur both by their voice and fundraising arm.  The attached student applications are available as well to Camp and WLC.  If you continue or start your FFA Alumni, the cost is only a minimum of $150(10 members at $15/member and life dues of $150/person also).  The benefits in people service support and funding support are PRICELESS!  These 34/67(51%) last year in District 5 were given credit for an 'active' FFA Alumni.  I hope that we can increase this 51% to 75% this year.

FFA Alumni Scholarship Applications
The Illinois FFA Alumni is once again offering scholarships for the Washington Leadership Conference and Illinois FFA Leadership Camp. The scholarships are available to any chapter that has an active (and in good standing) alumni affiliate. There will only be one application per chapter accepted. The deadline for the applications to reach the Illinois FFA Center is March 1st.
The applications are available on the Illinois FFA website and are attached.  If you have any questions, please contact Tammy at the Illinois FFA Center at 217-753-3328 or by e-mail at
[email protected].
Please mark your calendars.
FFA Leadership Camp will be July 28-31, 2010, at 4-H Memorial Campground near Monrticello.
The Illinois WLC busses will depart for WLC on June 21st and will return on June 28th. We realize this overlaps the Heritage/Coop Tour (June 27-July 2, 2010) but we had signed bus contracts inplace prior to the shift in the Heritage/Coop date.
