Teacher Workshop at FB Youth Conference

Thursday, March 17, 2011

*Message sent to Section 15 & District 5 Ag Teachers.

For those that are attending the FB Yourth conference in a few weeks, I would encourage you to attend this workshop for ag teachers, county Farm Bureau managers, and chaperones.   1 CPDU hour will be given.  We all need extra assistance in getting everything accomplished...recruiting volunteers is a great idea.
The session will be Tuesday, April 5, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
“Membership, Volunteers, & You ”
Instructor: Melissa Rhode, Illinois Farm Bureau Membership & Program Director

Do you ever feel like you are the one doing it all? This session will focus on how to recruit volunteers in your community, whether it is for volunteering at a County Farm Bureau event or helping prepare FFA members for that next CDE! Not only will you learn how you can better utilize the time and resources of others ,but also the resources of other common interest groups in your communities. Not only will this strengthen communication and awareness for your County Farm Bureau or FFA Chapter, but also strengthen the support for agriculture and FFA in your communities. You will also leave the session with resources that the Illinois Farm Bureau has created for recruiting potential members for County Farm Bureau that goes hand in hand for recruiting members for FFA Alumni Affiliates and Chapter Advisory groups.
