Vacancy - Agriculture Assistant Professor at Kaskaskia College-Centralia

Position     Assistant Professor - Agriculture
Description     Nine-month, tenure track, bargaining unit position starting Fall Semester 2011. Salary range for Bachelor’s degree is $40,150 to $58,119 per academic year (August to May). Degree granting institutions must be regionally accredited. Responsible for instruction in the classroom and laboratory settings and all related duties in the Agriculture program, including curriculum development, assessment of student learning, program review, student recruitment and advisement, and institutional committee participation.

Requires Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or closely related field, along with minimum of 5 years Agriculture teaching experience or 5 years experience in Agriculture or closely related industry. Also requires commitment to community college mission and philosophy, commitment to student learning, willingness and ability to use technology and innovation in the delivery of instruction, and excellent communication, organization, planning, and presentation skills.

Master’s degree and two years of community college teaching experience preferred.

Kaskaskia College is interested in receiving applications from individuals who would enhance the diversity of the College.
