Illinois FFA Center Message-12/13/2011

Tuesday, December 13, 2011

Message From Ron Reische, 2011 Foundation Sponsoring Committee Chair

Where has the school year gone??  It doesn’t seem possible that the Holidays are here and the end of the first semester is approaching.  Hopefully it has been a productive year thus far and everyone is enjoying the joys of the season with family and friends.

The end of the Annual Illinois Foundation FFA Collection Drive is also fast approaching.  Hopefully, each chapter has been able to mount a successful effort and will soon be submitting the results to the Illinois FFA Center.  This year as in no other before, a successful drive is critical to maintaining our student focused leadership programs as well as keeping our state agricultural education infrastructure strong.

If time crunches have kept your chapter from mounting a collection drive, there is still time to act!!!  Many people who might want to support FFA and Agricultural Education don’t because they have not been asked.  The online giving feature at now makes it simple to donate online and designate the chapter to be credited for the Annual Collection Drive.

The Illinois Foundation FFA helps fund many of the leadership and award programs for our students.  It also contributes funding for the Illinois FFA Center which, in turn, provides administrative support for the entire agricultural education enterprise.

Remember, if everyone does something, it will mean a lot to everyone.  Thank you again for all you do and best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Ron Reische, 2011 Illinois Foundation FFA Sponsoring Committee Chair
