We want to share a very important development regarding the materials available in MYcaert. You now have a powerful NEW TOOL to locate and document the Common Core State Standards embedded in the materials featured in Mycaert. Effective January 1, you will be able to search and locate lesson plans aligned to Common Core Mathematics and English Language Arts Standards. The science standards are under development.  If you have any suggestions for improving MyCAERT, record and sent them at:
The ISBE Board and Superintendent are still taking comments regarding the FY13 budget and funding.   If you have a moment, send an email([email protected]) to show how you, your students, and your school have benefited from the online curriculum, incentive funding, etc.
This website builds rubrics and does a number of other things, too.  This may be helpful to view for curriculum redesign or may be of assistance to those of you who create a rubric from time to time.
We have discussed the merits or de-merits of local foods at previous meetings/encounters.  However, it continues to get buzz in the news.   We have some teachers doing similar things but perhaps selling/donating items to local stores or food panties.  Here is a link to the USDA supported Farm to School program.

National Ag Day is Thursday, March 8, 2012, which is earlier than in past years. has plenty of resources to help your students, school, and community in planning and promoting the agricultural industry on March 8th and throughout the year.  Take advantage of the ready to go materials.  Click here for a promotional flyer.
