State FFA Convention News Releases

WE NEED ALL FFA CHAPTERS HELP!  Farm Credit Services is again sponsoring the Press Area at the 2012 State FFA Convention.  They are trying to collect all FFA chapters local newspaper's e-mail addresses prior to the convention.  That is why you have received two messages from Rod Stoll asking you to submit your newspaper(s) e-mail address.  If you have not already done so, please go to no later than June 1 and submit your newspaper(s) e-mail address.  That will help the press area run much more efficiently and make it much easier to send out news releases from convention.  Your help with this is appreciated.

Thank you to all the chapters who have already submitted e-mail addresses

Foundation Certificates

Our apology for Foundation certificates being so late this year.  Our new donor management program was not done as soon as we had planned which prevented us from entering information from the transmittal sheets until later than we would have liked.  That in turn prevented us from printing and sending out certificates until we had everything entered into the computer.  We continue to work on Foundation certificates and get them sent out as we can, but State FFA Convention preparations have to be taken care of as well.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience.

State Convention Press Corps

If you have a newly elected chapter or section reporter or a student interested in ag communications who would like to volunteer to assist with the Press Coprs at this year's State FFA Convention, please send their name, address and any convention sessions they cannot work due to a conflict to Associate Executive Secretary Frank Dry as soon as possible.  Students will be assigned to work two convention sessions.  An orientation meeting for all Press Corps workers will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 12 in the press area backstage.  Work assignments will be handed out at that time.

Letters have gone out to all students who submitted Outstanding Section or Chapter Reporter applications as well as all 2011-2012 Section Reporters inviting them to help with the Press Corps.
