IL Rural Heritage Museum Grand Opening - June 1 & 2 - Pinckneyville

CalloutThe Mission of the Illinois Rural Heritage Museum in Pinckneyville, Illinois is to educate the public about the rural heritage of Illinois in a manner that tells the life lessons of success. The Museum explains the ever changing story of rural life from different perspectives: agriculture, business, conservation, education, medicine, natural resources, technology and transportation. A critical element of the Museum’s Mission is to preserve and restore important items that would otherwise be lost with the passage of time.

The Grand Opening will be held on Friday, June 1, 2012, 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. at the Museum, 187 Fairground Road, Pinckneyville, IL.  FREE to the public.

The 4th Annual Tractor Drive will be the prelude beginning at 1:30 the Saturday, June 2nd grand opening banquet at 6 p.m. where Max Armstrong, American Agriculture Broadcaster and host of "This Week in AgriBusiness" will the keynote speaker.
  Banquet tickets are $20/person.

Join us on June 1 and 2, 2012, to celebrate the grand opening of the
Illinois Rural Heritage Museum. At this event exhibits in phases one and
two will be open to the public. Visitors can expect to find a variety of interactive and educational exhibits for all ages!
