Retirement Announcement

I would like to announce my retirement effective December 31, 2012.  After 43 years in agricultural education, I have decided it is time to slow down and spend more time with my family and especially my five grandchildren.  My health is also a major deciding factor in my retirement.  Many of you are aware of the health issue I have had to deal with over the last 15 months.  I am pleased to tell you I did have a very good check-up on August 1 and I celebrated one year in remission.  My main concern is staying in remission for the rest of my life.  In order to do so, I need to give up the demands of the job, slow down and take care of myself.  While I look forward to retirement, I also know that I will miss working with the FFA members, ag teachers and people in the agriculture community and agriculture education that I have had the pleasure of working with over the years.
