FFA Chapter Reporter Workshops
The schedule for FFA Chapter Reporter Workshops is listed below.  A meeting for ag teachers will also be held during the workshops.   

Tuesday September 4 - 5:30 p.m., Agriculture Building, SIU, Carbondale.  Advisors will meet in the Agriculture Building, Room TBA. 

Thursday September 6 - 6:00 p.m., West Building, Lake Land College, Mattoon.  Advisors meet in the West Building, Room TBA

Monday September 10 - 6:00 p.m., Auditorium, Black Hawk East, Kewanee.  Advisors meet in Room B-204.

Tuesday September 11 - 5:30 p.m., Macomb High School, Macomb.  Advisors meet in Room TBA.

Wednesday September 12 - 6:00 p.m. Room A-225, Kishwaukee College, Malta, Advisors meet in Room A-247.

Thursday September 13 - 5:30 p.m., JJC Weitendorf Ag Ed Center, Joliet.  Advisors meet in Room TBA.

Monday September 17 - 6:00 p.m., Menard 2209, Lincoln Land College, Springfield.  Advisors meet in Menard 2272.

Attached to this message is the Foundation's Award Recognition Policy.  Advisors are reminded that in order for a chapter to receive any form of award recognition (plaques, travel money, etc.) from the Foundation, they must have a minimum local collection drive amount of $700.00.  Please see the attachment for the complete policy.

SpeakUp - Training Opportunities for Students
Experienced presenters, Caroline Bremer and David Mouser, are teaming up to prepare students for FFA Extemporaneous, Prepared and Creed Speaking competitions. This is a must attend event for all FFA members serious about improving their basic skills in public speaking for both Career Development Events and the pursuit of leadership roles within the organization. Speakers of all skill-levels will benefit from attending SpeakUp.

Illinois FFA members are invited to attend the Normal CornBelters Baseball Game on Friday, August 31st. The gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the game will begin at 6:30 p.m. The CornBelters will be playing the Joliet Slammers from Joliet, Illinois.
