Position     AgriScience Teacher/FFA Advisor
Description     The Centralia High School is located in Marion County of Section 21 south of Vandalia and northwest of Mt. Vernon along Highway 51. The agriculture program restarted in 2010-11 under the direction of Mr. Dane Hunter. Dane just accepted a graduate assistant position at the College of ACES, UIUC. 60 students in grades 9-12 are enrolled in AgriScience courses with 39 FFA members out of nearly 1000 total students. Science certification is preferred as the new teacher will be expected to teach science (Biology/Chemistry) classes. Administration will consider candidates that do not have science certification if the candidate is willing to take courses for science certification. Facilities include a classroom in the science wing, science lab with lab tables, office, storage, and outdoor garden. Very supportive administration and competitive salary and benefits.
