Friday, August 1, 2014, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bevier Hall – University of Illinois
Calling all Illinois FFA chapter and Section Reporters! Join us as the Illinois FFA and the University of Illinois College of ACES join together with communications PROFESSIONALS help you answer these questions and more. 
·         Who – Writers, bloggers, broadcasters, and photographers are conducting this summit, all leaders in the agricultural communications industry.
·         What – A one-day comprehensive program designed to help FFA reporters learn the best way to tell our story. The program will include workshops covering:
1.     Print media
2.     Social media
3.     Broadcast media
4.     Photography
5.   Newsletters and more...
·         Why – To create a career-enriched experience for students to serve their FFA chapters and communities better by being well educated reporters.

2.     Take home materials
3.     New Resources
4.     Learn from the experts
TRANSPORTATION assistance is provided. Illinois FFA Center has arranged for 3 buses to be located in the South, West and North locations in the state to help transport students to this event. Depending on where we get registrations from will help to determine when and where the buses will start and pick up throughout the trip to Champaign Urbana. 
This will be a hands- on career training event for your students that will hopefully give your chapter and all of agriculture greater visibility in all of our communities. Chapter and Section Reporter applications will change to reflect the changes we have made in the event, students will not be docked for not attending this event.
