-FFA National Chapter Award Applications(Form I and Form II) are due to Section FFA presidents.
-National DNA Day – April 30, 2004

-National Education Center for Agricultural Safety is a partnership between Northeast Iowa Community College and the National Safety Council. Staffed by a core group of safety and health education specialists, training is also provided by leading agricultural educators from across the United States. -Agricultural Education Vacancy at the Webber Township High School at Bluford… located in Section 21 about 10 miles east of Mt. Vernon off of Highway 15 in Jefferson County. Approximately 75 out of 190 students are enrolled in the ag. program. Courses offered are agribusiness, agriscience, and ag. mechanics. Salary will be based on the district salary schedule. The district pays TRS, and an allowance is paid for health insurance. An extended contract is negotiable. Community, administration, and FFA Alumni actively support the program. -The FFA National Chapter Award Applications(Form I and Form II) are due to Section FFA presidents by Thursday, April 15th. Remember Form I is a minimum standard for the FFA quality indicators of the FY05 Agricultural Education Incentive Funding application. "Form I reported at least one completed activity related to each of the three (3) divisions and was submitted to the Section FFA President by April 15." is the wording from the incentive application.

-National DNA Day – April 30, 2004…You and your students are invited to celebrate the second annual National DNA Day on Friday, April 30, 2004. National DNA Day was initiated last year to commemorate the completion of the Human Genome Project in April 2003 and the discovery of DNA double helix a half century earlier. The National Human Genome Research Institute in cooperation with the American Society of Human Genetics and the Genetic Alliance want to help you inspire the next generation of scientists who will use the human genome sequence to benefit human health.
