-Valmeyer FFA has tilapia and largemouth bass for sale
-"Youth Conservation Achievement Scholarship"

-Over the past year the Valmeyer FFA has sold tilapia and largemouth bass to over 30 schools within and outside the borders of Illinois. We have shipped 1-2" tilapia and largemouth bass through UPS with very good sucess. If you are interested in fish for next year. We will sell tilapia fingerlings 1-2" for $50 per 100 shipped ups in bags and boxes. Or you may pick up the fish in Valmeyer for $35.00 per hundred. We will likely have some larger tilapia and the price will vary on them.
We have placed feed trained largemouth bass at three school within Illinois. Our survival rate on largemouth bass was 90%, which is almost as good as our tilapia. We will sell the bass in the fall for $70 per 100 fish. They should be at least 2 to 3 inch fish depending on how early you receive them. Our bass will be trained on feed and grown in tanks or raceways so they should adapt well to your recirculating systems. If you want the fish shipped ups add $15 per hundred for shipping, boxing, and bagging.
If ordering tilapia please have the appropriate license and letter, IDNR has increase the record keeping requirements on us to maintain our license. To order, contact Howard Heavner at the Valmeyer High School, 618.935.2100 ext. 102 or [email protected]
