Johnston City FFA Section 24 Trap Shoot Waiver and Information

I understand that the Trap Shooting will involve firearms. Those kids ages 14 and over will be able to shoot shotguns. Firearms, when mishandled, can be dangerous.

 

Further, I understand that it is incumbent upon me to use the utmost care in the exercise of firearm safety. I intend to do so and realize that I have an affirmative duty to do so.

 

I understand that I will conduct myself in a manner so as to be safe around all of the individuals of my team and others. The trap team coach is the sole individual in instructing the team and no other individuals may be on the trap field.

 

Further, I hereby waive all right to any claim, cause of action, right of litigation of any kind, whatsoever, originating from the trap team and / or coaches or the Johnston City School District.

 

I realize it is a privilege to participate in the FFA Shooting Team and accordingly I will conduct myself in a safe manner consistent with all affirmative duties which I have heretofore recognized.  Failure to abide by any of the outlined safety and procedures can and will cause removal from the team.

Rend Lake Shooting Complex - September 22nd- Tuesday - 4 pm

  • Firearms must be a 12 or 20 gauge, There may be a practice trap open but will be paid for separately 
    -5 member teams
    -Each member
     shoots 50 targets
    -$20 per member

  • -Please designate if you have a Varsity or JV team, Varsity team awards will be given but all will compete for individual awards  

  • -Must be an active FFA member and Chapter, we will have an alumni shoot if there are enough participants to shoot

  • BBQ and Hot Dogs will be available for purchase along with side items.

I also give permission for my child to be photographed or interviewed for TV or newspaper, and for the photograph to appear in the newspaper or other materials and programs that may be printed or published.
