Runner & Zwilling join Illinois Foundation FFA Staff

Illinois Foundation FFA is pleased to announce Jay Runner and Becky Zwilling have joined the Foundation staff as Director of Foundation Education & Director of Annual Giving, respectively. These newly created positions within Illinois Foundation FFA will fill educational needs and annual campaign targets for the foundation.

Runner joins the Illinois Foundation FFA following a 40 year career in education. Jay’s career includes eleven years as a Secondary Agricultural Instructor, followed by three years with the Illinois State Board of Education, ISBE, as a Career & Technical Education (CTE) Curriculum Coordinator, and 22 years with the Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education, FCAE, project for ISBE. During his tenure with FCAE, he served first as a Program Advisor providing technical assistance to schools throughout the state and then 12 years in an administrative role as the State Coordinator. His educational work experience has been at local, state and national levels during his career. He served as the Agricultural Food and Natural Resources (AFNR) Stem Learning Exchange Project Coordinator with the FCAE Project and currently serves as a PTR Coach with Pathways To Results at the University of Illinois. Jay comes to the Illinois Foundation FFA with a B.S. from University of Illinois in Agricultural Education and M.S. from Western Illinois University in Educational Administration.

Zwilling is a graduate of South Dakota State University with degrees in Animal Science and Journalism. She has held a variety of positions with the University of Illinois Extension system that focused on marketing, program management, volunteer recruitment and fund development. Becky was also employed by the Aledo Veterinary Clinic, where she worked with medical and financial record keeping and customer service.  She owns, manages and cares for her registered Shorthorn herd.

Both Runner & Zwilling bring a wealth of agricultural education knowledge to the Foundation. Please welcome them to the Foundation staff.
