Ag Grant Budget Due Nov 17

Monday, November 07, 2016

*Sent to D4 Ag Teachers & Administrators.

Hi Ag Teachers, Principals, & Superintendents:

Great news...Agriculture Incentive Funding will continue for the 29th consecutive year!  Each X factor of the quality indicator application was awarded $27.19.

Attached is  a PDF doc of function & object codes and non-allowable expenditures.  Your budget is located at www.ISBE.net.  Select IWAS(ISBE Web Application Security) from the top row.  Login.   Follow the online directions to your budget.  Click for complete instructions.

Key Points:
·         You must have an IWAS account. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one. If you created an account last year, you can use the same account even if you switched schools.
·         If you switched schools from last year or are completing this grant for the first time, you will need to go in and request access to the grant from the new school before you can complete it. Your District Superintendent grants access.
·         When you access the FY17 budget for the first time, you will click ‘yes’ to create a new project. Check to be sure the year is correct and enter the school name for the title, then click Create New Project. When you go back to access this budget later, you will not have to do this; just simply choose from the listing of budget applications towards the bottom of the page.
·         Open Application...top row of blue buttons...start from the left...applicant information and work to the right.
·         You will need to complete the Performance Report (final report for FY16) when you complete the FY17 budget, so have your final budget available.

·         Due dates:
-Budget submitted on November 17, 2016, early in the morning as a school administrator must review and submit also by Nov 17th 11:59 pm.

-Amendments submitted by April 30, 2017
-All funds spent by June 30, 2017
Questions on completing the budget process, contact either Harley Hepner or me. If you have questions of a technical nature with the website, contact the ISBE Help Desk at 217-558-3600.

Average achievement was 63 x factors out of 117 possible or 54% achievement rate.

I would be glad to visit your school to review your agriculture grant application in hopes of increasing quality indicators and funding for FY18.   Please also reply to this email to receive your FY17 Ag Grant Application in pdf format.

Thank you.
