Foundation Collection Drive

It is time once again to participate in the Illinois Foundation FFA collection drive.  The collection drive is an integral part of the budget for the Foundation, in order to be able to provide funding for things like:

  • Illinois FFA State Convention
  • American Degree program
  • Illinois FFA magazine insert in the New Horizons
  • Plaques for winners, proficiency, CDE, etc.
  • Travel stipends for competitors to attend National convention
  • Communications Summit
  • State officer team
  • Beginning Advisor's Workshop
  • STAR conference

These items are just a few of the things that the Foundation helps provide funding for throughout the year.

You can find information to assist with your collection drive in the Foundation tool kit which is located here on the Illinois FFA website.  You can access your transmittal (this is the list of your past donors that you will use to submit your current donations to the bank on) by going to the Foundation donor program, logging in, going to the Reports area, then selecting Transmittal.  You may also contact Tammy ([email protected]) for assistance with your transmittal.

The 2016 Foundation collection drive goal is $500,000.00.  This is an obtainable goal if we all join in and work together.  A big thank you to Orion FFA, Bluffs FFA, Hartsburg-Emden FFA and Mt. Vernon FFA that have made submissions for the 2016 collection drive already.  With their help, we have a good start on meeting the goal with approximately $135,000 already collected.  Keep up the great work!

A few items to keep in mind about the collection drive, we no longer have minimum or fair share amounts to collect, however, there is still IFG values associated with the amounts that are submitted for your chapter.

  • $750 - $1099 = 1X
  • $1100 - $1499 = 2X
  • $1500 and up = 3X

In addition to the IFG X values, you also will receive credit in your Hopper fund based on the amount of your collection.  To see how the Hopper fund is calculated, please click here.

Please contact Tammy Yard ([email protected] or 217-753-3328 ext. 106) for any questions you have about the Foundation collection drive.

The Illinois Foundation FFA appreciates everyone's efforts and continued support with the annual collection drive.
