Ag Ed Enrollment Increasing - 2016 Ag Ed Annual Report

Hi Administrators, Guidance Counselors, FFA Alumni & Ag Teachers:

Agricultural Education continues to be a quality and rigorous component of Illinois schools.  Please take time to view our 2016 Illinois Agricultural Education Report at this link...The original STEM field.   Thank you for your involvement and support.

A few significant statistics are below.
-Agricultural Education enrollment increased by over 16% since 2007 with
 30,562 students in grades 6-12.
-61% of students are male, 39% are female, 11% live on a family farm. 
-69% of high schools have a greenhouse.
-75% of high schools allow an agriculture course to fulfill a science graduation
-24% of high schools allow an agriculture course to fulfill a consumer
 graduation requirement.
-The Waterloo High School was named the state winning FFA Chapter. 
-$11,672,184 net income gained by students with supervised ag
 experience projects or $1001 per student.
