Foundation Update

Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Sent to All Contacts

Thank you to all of the chapters that have participated in the 2017-18 Illinois Foundation FFA Local Collection Drive.  The collection drive is the cornerstone of the organization and without a successful drive, the Foundation would not be able to assist in funding all of the activities for the Illinois FFA members to enjoy.

Local Collection Drive

The current collected total for the Local Collection Drive as of January 16, 2018, is $95,087.84, with additional donations designated for State at Large Funds of $34,422.02. The overall total of the Collection Drive is $129,509.86. The Foundation board set a budgeted goal for the local collection drive of $300,000. The $300,000 goal was included in a deficit budget that the Foundation passed for the 2017-2018 Fiscal Year. The section goals that were handed out at the IAVAT conference totals $416,000.

As you can see we still have a long way to go on the local collection drive efforts.  Do you need help getting your collection drive started?

Visit the Illinois Association FFA's website to access the Foundation Toolkit. The pledge card has been updated and a version that is easier to print has been added to the toolkit. We have received several donations with the pledge cards attached, which is great!

Our hope is to have the local collection drive wrapped up by February 1st  for reporting purposes at the Foundation Annual Meeting. Again if you have any questions feel free to contact the FFA Center at 217-753-3328.

Sponsorships & Other Contributions

We also have obtained several sponsorships throughout this fiscal year.

  • State Convention and General Foundation Sponsorships: $30,550.

  • FFA Sponsorships: 26,321.97.

  • IAVAT Conference Sponsorships: $7,750.

  • Alumni Sponsorships: $11,500.00.

  • Sponsorships totaling: $$76,121.97.

The sponsorship goal set in the budget is $124,000.

This year, we have received various other sources of income (ex: Memorials, FFA at 50 Book Sales). Those totals are $8,175.60.

Finally, with this year being a Farm Progress Show year, we received money from our Titian Tire Auction. The auction total was $20,900.

We appreciate the time and effort that everyone has given to help us reach the goal for the collection drive, we could not have gotten this far without all of your support.   Thank you!
