SIU-Carbondale Update - Share your view

Southern Illinois University at Carbondale continues to seek feedback on their reorganization at SIU Vision 2025.  Revisions continue to the current proposal as Chancellor Carlo Montemagno​ meets with faculty from each of the new ‘schools’ in the reorganization plan.  Feedback is still encouraged and accepted.  Look for more information over the next few weeks as changes occur and information is provided to the college.

Transition of the College of Agricultural Sciences Dean’s office –
Karen Midden, who has served as Associate Dean for four years, has been appointed as “Acting in Capacity of Dean” until the Board of Trustees Meeting on February 8.  It is expected at that meeting that her appointment as “Interim Dean”  will be approved through June 30, 2018.  After her appointment is official, she will be communicating more information with you.

66th Annual All Ag Banquet –  Make plans to attend on Friday, February 23 at the SIUC Student Center, 5:30 pm - networking/social, 6:30 pm - dinner.  The Murphy500 band will be providing entertainment after the presentation of awards.   The COA will be recognizing Outstanding Alumni Early Career, Mid-Career, and Lifetime Achievement Awards in addition to student and RSO awards. Tickets are $25 for non-students.  RSVP to 618/453-2469 or [email protected]
