Ag Teacher Vacancy - Illinois Virtual School

Monday, March 12, 2018

*Sent to all contacts.

The Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education(ILCAE) has discussed and supported the opportunity to provide online agriculture courses for the 95% of 9-12 grade students that currently are not engaged with an agriculture course. These students are primarily at schools without agriculture programs and at schools with agriculture programs where scheduling conflicts exist and where students have taken all of the agriculture courses offered at that school.   Online agriculture courses will provide an interest approach to increase the number of schools with live agriculture teachers and face-to-face agriculture courses.   These discussions have led to a partnership with the Illinois Virtual School to begin offering and teaching online high school agriculture courses.
