Good Morning FFAmily,

With a short week upon us, we wanted to reach out to you, wishing you a safe and happy start to your holiday season.  As we approach this season, we wanted to give you the opportunity to participate in Giving Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Giving Tuesday has been an annual tradition since 2012 – last year, more than $274 million was raised around the globe.

Without the generous support of our donors, we would be limited in the kind of experiences that we are able to offer our students. This year, we are asking our family of supporters to consider making a donation.

We are encouraging all members, chapters, friends, supporters and donors consider contributing to the organization that we all love.  Here at Illinois Foundation FFA, we strive to find new and creative ways to support the Organization that teaches members the leadership skills that are familiar to each of us, and #GivingTuesday is one of those means.

Please consider making a small donation to the Illinois Foundation FFA as we strive to build the leadership skills of our members today, so they can be the leaders of tomorrow.

This year, our goal for Giving Tuesday is $10,000 which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $2,500, by Compeer Financial.  In addition to these matches by Compeer, Facebook is also matching all donations made to nonprofit organizations on Giving Tuesday.  You can help us reach and exceed this goal by making a small $10, $50 or $100 donation to the Foundation on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

By donating through Facebook, all credit card processing fees are waived (100% of your donation comes directly to the Foundation) and your donation may be tripled by matching funds from Facebook and Compeer Financial. If you would like for your original donation to be credited to a specific chapter for their collection drive, you MUST email a copy of your Facebook receipt to Jannette Allotey [email protected]. Facebook does not provide this specific donor information, so donations made without sending a copy of your receipt will be coded as a state at large contribution.

Facebook matches up to $7 million dollars, so set an alarm early to jump on Facebook and make your donation.  The earlier you donate, the better.

Don’t forget to follow the “Illinois Foundation FFA” Facebook page, as well as the “Illinois Association FFA” Facebook page in order to follow us on this journey.

With the season of giving thanks upon us, we wish you and yours only the safest and joyous of holiday seasons.
