The Sandoval High School located in Marion County of Section 21 is seeking a highly-qualified agriculture teacher and FFA advisor for the 2019-20 school year following the FCAE hiring of Mrs. Casey Bolin as the District 5 Program Advisor.

Nearly all 108 9-12 grade students are enrolled in agriculture courses. Potential courses to be taught will be determined based on the strengths of the candidate and the interest of the students. Currently, Introduction to the Ag Industry, Ag Science, Horticulture, Ag Business, Ag Leadership, and Food Science are being considered for the 2019 school year. Candidates with interest in agricultural mechanics are desired, but not required.

Facilities include classroom, greenhouse, food science kitchen, poultry facility, mechanics lab, two hydroponic systems and raised garden beds. The school is a 1:1 school, with all students having Chromebooks and all teachers are issued laptops as well as classroom desktops. Sandoval High School has a very supportive administration and community members. The “Friends of Sandoval FFA” alumni group is very active and willing to help with whatever they can to see the program succeed.

Salary and benefits will be based upon the current negotiated contract

Sandoval High School completed the Three Circle FFA and SAE Grant in 2018-19 and is open to considering it in the future. Single health insurance is paid by the school district. Coaching and sponsorships are available throughout the school district if the applicant is interested.
