Hello Ag Educators,
We wanted to share with you our program for Ag instructors. The Irrigation Foundation will be hosting its fifth annual agriculture Faculty Academy at the Cal Poly’s Irrigation Training and Research Center in San Luis Obispo, California, June 27-28. Our program will start at the end of the California Ag Teachers Conference at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27.
The two day event allows instructors to network with fellow academics and learn about irrigation related curriculum that can be used in the classroom. This event is FREE to attend and travel grant assistance is available on a first-come, first-served basis to qualifying attendees. Faculty Academy is open to instructors teaching at high schools and two- and four-year institutions.
Agriculture Faculty Academy sessions include:
- Curriculum Development
- Fruit/Vegetable Crop Irrigation Management Panel
- Irrigation Hydraulics Lab
- Microirrigation vs. Drip Irrigation Systems Lab
- The Nuts & Bolts Behind Irrigation
- Tour of the Irrigation Training & Research Center Facility
The full schedule and travel information can be found on the Foundation’s website. The deadline to register for agriculture Faculty Academy is fast approaching. Registration closes May 9. Register now!
Feel free to share this great program with any colleagues who may be interested!
