Purpose
Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education (FCAE), a project of the Illinois State Board of Education part of the Agricultural Education Line Item, will provide Improving Agricultural Education Program(IAEP) mini-grants up to a maximum of $10,000 per local educational agency to fund a major agricultural department improvement project.  Implementation of this mini-grant is contingent upon the availability of funds.

Eligibility
School districts with an approved agricultural education program.  Click for grant application.  Click for a summary of past grant recipients since FY07.

Information
*Verification of a minimum of 50% funding match. Matching funding may include values of contributions, except for the value of labor.  Priority will be given to applications from first time(not receiving a grant within the past five years) schools and with higher levels of local match funding.
*Printed application(parts 1-6) must be postmarked by Friday, January 25, 2019, and sent to:  FCAE, 3358 Big Pine Trail, Champaign, IL 61822.
*All projects must be completed and a final report received by May 15, 2019.
*Grants will be evaluated by a committee of ICAE and ILCAE members.
*Selected grant recipients will be notified as soon as possible after the funded grants are determined.
*All schools awarded funding will be required to facilitate a monitoring visit by a FCAE staff member to tag new equipment and facilities, to view expenditures according to the budget, and to take photos of the improvements.
*If assistance is needed, contact a FCAE program advisor or the FCAE main office at www.AgriculturalEducation.org, contact tab.   (217) 893-0091
